Windows Xp..........Windows Vista.......?????

Hi!....I'm back... sorry for the long absence.

I recently bought a new Hp notebook (dv2000 series)... Also to explain why i haven't been blogging is because my faithful Acer notebook had her motherboard 'burnt out'. thanked God it as still under waranty.

My new HP has a ---intel Centrino Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz Processor, 120Gb Hard Drive, 1Gb ram (just upgraded it to 2GB toDay), NVIDIA geForce Go7200 display card, a built in web cam with 2.0MP, lightScribe labelling, Altec Lansing speakers, the normal bundle dvd...... and Windows Vista Home Premium.

As I was playing around my new gadget, I notice that during startup ...Vista seems to be slower than Xp. Hence that's to explain why i went upgrading the RAM. I also notice during idle it took up more than 70% of RAM. So friends from Windows XP, a word of advice, b4 upgrading to VISTA, PLZ remember to upgrade your RAM FIRST!

Inside Vista, there is quite a number of changes to the overall outlook of Windows. There seems to be somewhat similarities to our 'cousin' Mac. The placing of some items, icons and etc are also different. Took me more 2 weeks to reasonably understand the new VISTA.

more news later, gonna read up on Windows Vista.

Bowling

Yesterday I played in our weekly TRIOS League. To my surprise after 6 weeks of non-present in any bowling, i was able to play a fair game. Averaging at 182 pinfalls per game. Sad to sad that 1 of my team members had to play even with an injured finger. Hooray to Mantis.
I suddenly noticed that the lanes in Pyramid Bowl had changed a bit since my absense. Maybe it's just me, but the oiling of lanes had changed dramactically. I think it's high time that the management of Pyramid Bowl to upgrade their business venue. Nowadays, after checking out on the internet that our country's bowling alley doesn't really meet with standards of the outside world. While we do host many international competitions.
I also found out that the turn out of 30TH MALAYSIAN INTERNATIONAL OPEN BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP wasn't very uplifting. Many international participants didn't show because of many "technical problems". I also found out from one of my team members that there was a query on how we oil our lanes by a PBA bowler................????????????

Hi Guys, I'm Back

Sorry for not posting any new events for such a long time, due to heavy workload after coming back from my honeymoon........

well, gonna be a short post this time, insufficient time to upload the Spain pics.

Gonna elaborate more on my next post.

Overall, Spain was a nice country to visit. but if you had travelled to Europe before, the architecture is quite similar, since the buildings date back to that era. 11th century. The fun part off course was to spend so much time together with my wife.

Chinese New Year LOOHHHH!!!!!

Chinese New Year is coming! We are left with 15 days left. Gotta go buy lots of stuffs, eg. New ====>Clothes, Shoes, undies and etc.

Chinese celebrate CNY at a different date compare to the normal calender year, The first day of the year falls on next SUNDAY 18th Feb 2007. This year is the turn for the year of the PIG. Golden Pig year is said the be generally lucky for all people.

My buddies have started early this year in celebrating the CNY tradition, which is gambling. Chinese believe that this is a good time to earn some extra pocket money as this is usually done with friends & family, hence one can usually see there are more chineses in Casino's.

Espanyol

Over the past couple of weekends, myself & my wife have gone shopping frenzy. Why? one may ask...... Well coz we are going for our 'HONEYMOOOOON'. We have both decided to go to SPAIN. We are going with our friends Jannie Tan & her Family. All together, there will be 8 of us, and we are hoping that more will join us. The trip will cost RM6981.00 each. Which I think is a fair price, but will re-confirm on that on our return.

We have engage Reliance Tour & Travel to be our tour company, as they offered the best deal at current timehttp://http//www.reliancetravel.com/contact_us.html. After a couple of meetings with the tour company representatives, we have actually state some of the spots that we would like to see & visit. So, one can say that the trip was plan by us. HAHAHA!!!!

But back to our shopping spree, my wife & I went to 1 Utama shopping mall to purchase our travelling bag. Luckily, the staff at Travel for All was a friend of mind, so we each bought a bag. Elayne bought a trolley bag, whereas I bought a big knapsack ( very mat salleh).

Then after the long search & bargaining brawl to get the best out of our money. We walk next door to Waffle World to have a drink & light snack. Coincidentally, the F&B outlet is operated by my sister & my bro-in-law. The drinks were very refreshing & the Belgian waffles were crispy on the outside, yet soft & moist inside.
It was a quick spree for us, as we spent about Rm2000.00 within 2 hours over there. Next is to Sungei Wang Plaza.

???????

Over is the 'New Year' celebration. This year nothing special happened. Myself & my wife had a small gathering with our friends over some food & drinks. Had charade to past time & my wife had lots of GOSIIIIPSSS!!!!

BUT something did happen to my family. Us the children finally got up our courage & had a Family Meeting, serious. I recently lost my mom due to an accident and my dad got injured badly. till today he still have problem walking on his own. This is a very bad incident that scared both his life & ours the children too.

Also due to this , we have grown more maturely physically & emotionally. Frankly speaking, I personally still can't get over it. It was too sudden. My parents were on their usual holiday trips to China, when their tour bus lost its breaks and ran out of control downhill. My dad broke 14 pieces of his vertebrae bones, punctured his right lung, smashed his left shoulder blade and other bruises all over his body.

I had to stop everything on that day the tour company called us. Took the next available flight the very same day to Hong Kong, then a van to ShenZhen & later a run down van all 10 hours to Hezhou. The trip was horrible, all I can think of is 'how am i gonna tell dad?'. When i finally reach the hospital, the sight was devastating. My dad had tubes, wires, bandages & stuffs in & out of his body. When I know he was strong enough to take in my mom's fate, he suddenly turn & say 'your mom has passed away, be strong', this statement coming from my dad at his state of condition broke me down.

That night, SOS..... an insurance company..... came & talk to me about evacuating my dad to a better hospital of our choice. After a long discussion with my other siblings & my dad, we decided to come back to Malaysia for further treatment. UMMC was our choice & it was a wise one. DR. Deepak, Dr. Kwan & their team were great at rescuing of what was left to fix. After a 10 hour long surgery, the doctors came out to say they did their best but somethings were too severely damaged to be fix.

Well now, my dad is back home, with constant physiotherapy sessions to go to. I will have to deal with losing my mom, so as my dad have to deal with losing his wife of 39 years................

WE LOVE YOU MOM...........
